Introduction:

An asset is anything tangible or intangible which can be owned or controlled to produce value and which has economic value. Tangible or physical assets include cash; land and buildings; plant and machinery; stocks, raw materials and goods for sale; furniture, equipment; and more. Intangible assets include intellectual property, goodwill, copyrights, patents and investments.
